As I sit by this river
I know you are somewhere
miles away from me

One stone thrown after another
Reminds me about the childhood game
of loves me or loves me not

The little stones are round and soft
And they disappear in the water
like sunrays vanish on the surface

One by one I throw each stone
Waiting for a sign from above
to help me channel my emotions

But deep down I already know
Because when the stones get over
you will still be who you are

And me, I will just sit here
Throwing grass and mud into the river
and myself.
